Elite Bayside Beadboard 8ft Kit in Paint Grade

One Elite Bayside Beadboard Kit containing everything you need for 8 running feet, 42" high. Made from primed, paint grade, MDF except for the cap and shoe trim that are made from primed, finger-jointed Poplar for better impact and moisture resistance.

The kit consists of: 1- 8ft length of top rail; cap trim; lower rail/baseboard combination 7' high; shoe trim; and 4--8ft lengths of beadboard planks with 3 beads per plank. When the 4 lengths of beadboard are cut into 3, you end up with 12 stiles (96/3=32" high), enough for 8 running feet of beadboard. The top and bottom rails add 10.5' of height, with the 32" stiles, an overall height of 42.5" can be achieved. We recommend 38" as a good height for walls with 8 foot ceilings.

For a 38" overall height, simply cut the stiles down to 27.5" each and discard the rest. 27.5+10.5=38. If you add 2 extra planks, for a total of 6, they can be cut in half and give an overall height of 58.5". For full wall applications, you will need 4 plus 8 planks for a total of 12 planks to cover 8ft in length 106.5" high.
