Elite Door Header

Georgian Door Header, 6" to 8" tall that projects a total of 3 ⅛" from the wall.  Made with a 2 ¾" Cornice, ¾" raw MDF backing and a ½" Poplar (or pine) half round as shown. 

We pre-cut the returns as shown in the illustration, one side is glued in place, the other side is taped in place so that they may be cut down on site with a chop saw. Before installing, simply cut one side at a 45 degree angle to suit your opening width and then glue the other pre-cut return trim pieces in place.  A top plate is provided to secure the cornice in place.

The half trim at the bottom and the cornice are pinned in place.  When shipped by UPS, we do not attach to cornice to reduce damage during transport. We measure the header width at the bottom in most cases.  To keep shipping cost down, for 8 foot lengths, we measure from tip to tip or the long end of the cornice.

Flat stock or fluted casing and or plinth blocks can be ordered separately.
