This column comes complete with a 14" x 48" high Raised Panel Pedestal, a choice of 8" Non-Tapered PVC Column or 10" Non-Tapered PVC Column, at your preferred height, and the Capital and Base set of your choice for the Non-Tapered column.

Each pedestal shaft comes flat packed in a box for easy shipping, and the column shafts will also be flat packed. Generally, the additional pre-cut components for the pedestal and column capital/base will be packed in a separate box with adhesive, hardware, installation cleats, and Instructions. Made using our exclusive lock mitred rails and stiles. The pedestals and/or columns can easily be cut on-site to suit your required height. Keep in mind that PVC cuts on a chop saw just like wood.
This porch post cover can wrap around a 4x4 or 6x6 support post, as the minimum opening at the top of the column for the 8" NonTapered PVC column is 6-1/4". The pedestal will line up with 36" railings.
We recommend the 8" Non-Tapered PVC Columns for applications with an overall height of 8ft - 9ft, and the 10" Non-Tapered PVC Columns for applications with an overall height over 9ft tall. See the links above for more detailed sizing specifications.
The total height of the columns, once the Pedestals and Non-Tapered columns are combined are as follows:
The 48" Pedestal combined with the 5ft column is 9ft high.
The 48" Pedestal combined with the 6ft column is 10ft high.
The 48" Pedestal combined with the 8ft column is 12ft high.
The Pedestal has a shaft width of 12", and a footprint of 14" at the bottom. The footprint at the top of the column, with the Box Capital, is 8-3/4" (with the 8" Non-Tapered Column) or 11" (with the 10" Non-Tapered Column). If you choose the Georgian Capital, the footprint at the top of the column will be 12" (for the 8" Non-Tapered Column) or 14-1/8" (for the 10" Non-Tapered Column).
